Amid unbearable suffering and endless pain, I find myself helpless before my little child’s eyes, who faces the shadow of famine day after day. We have lost everything—our work, our home, and even the ability to provide the basic necessities of life. We now live in constant fear, struggling for every morsel of food to stave off hunger.
My child, who once ran and played with innocence, is now weak and exhausted, sleeping hungry and waking up to a hope I can no longer fulfill. I am not asking for much—just enough to keep him alive, to provide him with the food that sustains his fragile body.
